Social & Relational Issues

Social Relational Issues refer to difficulties in forming, maintaining, or navigating relationships—whether with family, peers, romantic partners, or colleagues. These challenges can include communication difficulties, misunderstandings, conflict resolution struggles, or trouble interpreting social cues and norms, all of which can impact self-confidence, emotional well-being, and overall social functioning.

How can we help?

Building and maintaining relationships can be challenging, whether it’s making friends, navigating peer interactions, or recovering from a breakup. Social relational difficulties can leave children, adolescents, or adults feeling isolated, misunderstood, or frustrated.

We provide compassionate, personalised support for individuals facing these challenges. Our approach helps clients:

  • Understand social cues, etiquette, and the nuances of interactions
  • Build confidence in forming and sustaining friendships and relationships
  • Navigate conflicts and emotional challenges in a healthy way
  • Rebuild connections after breakups or interpersonal setbacks

For neurodivergent individuals, such as children with ASD, our therapy provides structured guidance on social skills, including conversation practice, understanding others’ perspectives, and fostering meaningful peer relationships. Families are included in the process to support consistent practice at home and in the community, ensuring the skills learned translate into real-world success.
